Pre-concert talk: 30 min before each performance with composer Freida Abtan.

Reception: immediately following each performance.

Join us for a one-of-a-kind PWC concert experience at Meets the Eye Studios, featuring a multimedia performance of Freida Abtan’s new opera for chorus and video, The sound of grief. This PWC commission reimagines the Orpheus myth and his overwhelming grief that threatens the living world. Immerse yourself in the ethereal beauty of treble chorus and harp with selections from Gustav Holst’s “Hymns to the Rig Veda,” inspired by translations of Vedic Sanskrit texts. Become lost in the slow movement of glaciers in Betsey Biggs’ masterful multimedia work MELT for chorus and video.

Be among the first to hear the pieces we will bring on tour in May 2026 to Seattle and the Tapestry International Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia!

Please note, due to the intimate setting of the Meets the Eye Studios, seating is limited to 60 people per performance. We strongly encourage purchasing tickets in advance to secure your spot. A livestream option is also available for those who wish to enjoy the performance from home.
