Our Season

2017-2018 Concert Season
After an exhilarating 50th Anniversary season, which culminated in a spring weekend joyfully bringing together singers, alumnae, audience members, supporters, past conductors, pianists, composers, and collaborators, we look forward to a new chapter.
This season brings back Britten’s masterful Ceremony of Carols in December and our popular New Music for Treble Voices Festival in March. We’ll explore music from our friends in Australia and New Zealand, as well as new works by accomplished young composers such as Mari Esabel Valverde, Jocelyn Hagen, and Julia Adolphe. Our journey culminates with our Full Circle spring concerts, a close-up look at the fascinating and eclectic musical possibilities the Bay Area has to offer.
We are also excited to launch the 3-year Trailblazers Project, which will showcase new choral works celebrating historic women trailblazers who led the way to social change. We will pay homage to Harriet Tubman (an abolitionist, human rights activist and Underground Railroad organizer); Miss Major Griffin-Gracy (an iconic Bay-Area transgender activist and community leader); and Alice Paul (one of the most important and radical U.S. women’s suffrage movement leaders).
