Our Season

2018-2019 Concerts and Special Events
Greetings from the Artistic Director
More than ever in my career as a conductor, we creative artists are finding myriad ways to raise our voices and express our times. Join the Peninsula Women’s Chorus in this exciting 2018-2019 season, as we reaffirm our commitment to dynamism and adventure, lifting up women through the ages in song.
Whether our sources of inspiration are old or new, they will infuse our music-making with passion and purpose: from Sumerian poet Enheduanna (the earliest known recorded author in history) and Johannes Brahms (who championed women’s choruses in the 19th century) to trailblazing American artists and pioneers such as Emily Dickinson, Susan B. Anthony, and contemporary transgender rights activist Miss Major Griffin-Gracy.
We hope the sound seeds we plant will resonate in a celestial symphony, inspiring and enriching, and as our tagline says, making waves.
Yours,
Martín Benvenuto
Artistic Director

Ordering tickets
Tickets for each concert can be purchased online or by calling the Brown Paper Tickets at 1-800-838-3006 (24/7). You may also purchase tickets at the door on concert day. Students should be prepared to show student ID when purchasing a concert ticket.
Please note: The PWC's concerts are professionally recorded. In order to achieve the highest possible quality for these live performances, the PWC requests that everyone completely turn off all electronic devices before the concert begins. A silent mode or texting is not advisable as this will still interfere with the recording equipment.
We also ask that small children who become restless or fussy, making disruptive noise be removed immediately so as to not affect the recording and the appreciation of the concert by those attending.
The PWC thanks everyone for supporting our efforts to make the concert environment enjoyable and uplifting for everyone. We thank you for your cooperation.
